Privacy policy

This policy explains what data Generate Random IBAN (generaterandomiban.com) collects when you use the site, and why.

The site is run by GenerateRandomIBAN.com. There are no user accounts and no sign-up, so we do not collect personal data to identify you.

Our servers are in Roubaix, France. Page requests may be processed by infrastructure inside the European Union.

Cloudflare delivers and protects the site. It may process your IP address and request data under its own privacy policy.

Our server uses your IP address to limit how many requests one visitor can send per minute. Only the IBAN validator page also opens a short technical session, which protects its form against forgery: it records your IP address and browser type, expires after two hours without activity and is then deleted. Other pages open no session.

We use Google Analytics to measure how the site is used, for example page views, country and device type. Google processes that data as described in Google's privacy policy. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, Google Analytics sets no cookies until you accept: until then it only sends cookieless measurements, without an identifier that recognises your browser. Elsewhere it sets its cookies unless you decline. Advertising storage and ad personalisation are always turned off. You can change your choice at any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page.

The IBAN validator (its own page and the box on country pages) checks IBANs in your browser: with JavaScript turned on, the IBAN you type is not sent to us. Without JavaScript, the form sends the IBAN to our server only to check it; the result is shown on the page and the IBAN is not stored.

Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. When your browser requests them, Google may log the request, including your IP address.

We do not sell personal data and do not use it to build advertising profiles.
