Dominican Republic IBAN generator
IBANs in Dominican Republic have 28 characters and start with DO. The one below is random, follows the national structure and passes the MOD-97 check, so form validation accepts it. No bank issued it.

Real bank codes in realistic mode
In realistic mode, the default, the generator takes the bank code from this list and keeps the account number random, so no bank issued these IBANs. With Realistic off, the bank code is random too.

What to test with DO IBANs
- Accept exactly 28 characters for DO, after removing spaces, and reject 27 or 29.
- Letters or digits at positions 5–8: a digits-only regex rejects valid DO IBANs. Realistic mode, the default, uses digits only there; with Realistic off, the generator puts letters there about half the time.
- Ready-made invalid values for negative tests: DO28BAGR00000001212453611325 (last character changed, MOD-97 fails) and DO28BAGR0000000121245361132 (one character missing).
- Bank directory checks: by default the generator uses real bank codes such as BRRD (Banreservas), and random ones with Realistic off, so you can test a known and an unknown bank.
About IBANs in Dominican Republic
Dominican IBANs have 28 characters: a 4-character bank code taken from the bank's BIC, such as BAGR, followed by a 20-digit account number. A Junta Monetaria resolution of November 2010 told banks to number demand and savings accounts in this format by 1 April 2011 and to show it on passbooks, contracts and cheques. It follows the regional account standard of the Central American Monetary Council.
Questions about IBANs in Dominican Republic
How long is an IBAN in Dominican Republic?
28 characters: the country code DO, two check digits and a national part (BBAN) of 24 characters.
What does an IBAN from Dominican Republic look like?
For example DO28 BAGR 0000 0001 2124 5361 1324. That is the print format, in groups of four. Forms and files usually take it without spaces: DO28BAGR00000001212453611324.
Can Dominican Republic IBANs contain letters?
Yes. Letters or digits are allowed at positions 5–8, and the registry example has BAGR there.
Where is the bank code in Dominican Republic IBANs?
The bank code, at positions 5–8: BAGR in the registry example. By default (realistic mode) the generator uses real bank codes, such as BPDO for Banco Popular Dominicano.
Will a test IBAN for Dominican Republic pass validation?
It passes the checks most forms run: country code, length, character format and MOD-97 check digits. In realistic mode, the default, the bank code is real too, so a bank directory check accepts it. An account lookup or a payee name check will not confirm it, because the account number is random.
Can I use a generated Dominican Republic IBAN to sign up for a service or receive money?
No. It is test data that no bank issued to you. Money sent to it is rejected or, if the number happens to belong to someone, reaches a stranger, and using it for a sign-up, a free trial or a direct debit is misuse. Your own IBAN is in your banking app and on your statements.
