Lebanese IBAN generator

IBANs in Lebanon have 28 characters and start with LB. The one below is random, follows the national structure and passes the MOD-97 check, so form validation accepts it. No bank issued it.

Generate a list Up to 100 IBANs, as CSV, JSON, SQL or plain text

In CSV, JSON and SQL, every IBAN segment (bank, branch, account, check digits) gets its own column.

MOD-97 valid

Realistic mode: real bank code, random account number. No bank issued this IBAN, but it could match a real account by chance. Never use it for payments.

Real bank codes in realistic mode

In realistic mode, the default, the generator takes the bank code from this list and keeps the account number random, so no bank issued these IBANs. With Realistic off, the bank code is random too.

Bank Bank code
BLOM Bank 0014
Bank Audi 0056
Byblos Bank 0039
Banque Libano-Française 0010
Saradar Bank 0048

What to test with LB IBANs

  • Accept exactly 28 characters for LB, after removing spaces, and reject 27 or 29.
  • Letters or digits at positions 9–28: a digits-only regex rejects valid LB IBANs. Realistic mode, the default, uses digits only there; with Realistic off, the generator puts letters there about half the time.
  • Ready-made invalid values for negative tests: LB62099900000001001901229115 (last character changed, MOD-97 fails) and LB6209990000000100190122911 (one character missing).
  • Bank directory checks: by default the generator uses real bank codes such as 0056 (Bank Audi), and random ones with Realistic off, so you can test a known and an unknown bank.

About IBANs in Lebanon

Lebanese IBANs have 28 characters: a 4-digit bank code, which is the bank's number on the Banque du Liban list of registered banks, and a 20-character account number that can contain letters, padded with zeros on the left. Lebanon's format entered the IBAN Registry in January 2010, and since 1 July 2010 domestic transfers between banks must carry the beneficiary's IBAN.

Questions about IBANs in Lebanon

How long is an IBAN in Lebanon?

28 characters: the country code LB, two check digits and a national part (BBAN) of 24 characters.

What does an IBAN from Lebanon look like?

For example LB62 0999 0000 0001 0019 0122 9114. That is the print format, in groups of four. Forms and files usually take it without spaces: LB62099900000001001901229114.

Can Lebanese IBANs contain letters?

Yes. Letters or digits are allowed at positions 9–28, although the registry example has only digits there.

Where is the bank code in Lebanese IBANs?

The bank code, at positions 5–8: 0999 in the registry example. By default (realistic mode) the generator uses real bank codes, such as 0014 for BLOM Bank.

Will a test IBAN for Lebanon pass validation?

It passes the checks most forms run: country code, length, character format and MOD-97 check digits. In realistic mode, the default, the bank code is real too, so a bank directory check accepts it. An account lookup or a payee name check will not confirm it, because the account number is random.

Can I use a generated Lebanese IBAN to sign up for a service or receive money?

No. It is test data that no bank issued to you. Money sent to it is rejected or, if the number happens to belong to someone, reaches a stranger, and using it for a sign-up, a free trial or a direct debit is misuse. Your own IBAN is in your banking app and on your statements.
