Pakistani IBAN generator

IBANs in Pakistan have 24 characters and start with PK. The one below is random, follows the national structure and passes the MOD-97 check, so form validation accepts it. No bank issued it.

Format

PK92NBPA7354672754983536

  1. Country PK
  2. Check digits 92
  3. Bank code NBPA
  4. Account number 7354672754983536
Generate a list Up to 100 IBANs, as CSV, JSON, SQL or plain text

In CSV, JSON and SQL, every IBAN segment (bank, branch, account, check digits) gets its own column.

MOD-97 valid

Realistic mode: real bank code, random account number. No bank issued this IBAN, but it could match a real account by chance. Never use it for payments.

Position by position

Segment Positions Length Example
Country 1–2 2 PK
Check digits 3–4 2 36
Bank code 5–8 4 SCBL
Account number 9–24 16 0000001123456702

In the pattern, n stands for a digit, a for an uppercase letter and c for a letter or digit. The number before each letter is how many characters that block has.

Real bank codes in realistic mode

In realistic mode, the default, the generator takes the bank code from this list and keeps the account number random, so no bank issued these IBANs. With Realistic off, the bank code is random too.

Bank Bank code
Habib Bank (HBL) HABB
MCB Bank MUCB
United Bank (UBL) UNIL
Allied Bank ABPA
National Bank of Pakistan NBPA
Meezan Bank MEZN
Bank Alfalah ALFH
Bank AL Habib BAHL
Askari Bank ASCM
Standard Chartered Bank (Pakistan) SCBL

What to test with PK IBANs

  • Accept exactly 24 characters for PK, after removing spaces, and reject 23 or 25.
  • Letters are required at positions 5–8. Test lowercase input too, and convert it to uppercase before you validate.
  • Letters or digits at positions 9–24: a digits-only regex rejects valid PK IBANs. Realistic mode, the default, uses digits only there; with Realistic off, the generator puts letters there about half the time.
  • Same structure as Romania (RO). The country code is part of the MOD-97 calculation, so a valid PK IBAN with another country code in front must fail.
  • Ready-made invalid values for negative tests: PK36SCBL0000001123456703 (last character changed, MOD-97 fails) and PK36SCBL000000112345670 (one character missing).
  • Bank directory checks: by default the generator uses real bank codes such as MUCB (MCB Bank), and random ones with Realistic off, so you can test a known and an unknown bank.

Questions about IBANs in Pakistan

How long is an IBAN in Pakistan?

24 characters: the country code PK, two check digits and a national part (BBAN) of 20 characters.

What does an IBAN from Pakistan look like?

For example PK36 SCBL 0000 0011 2345 6702. That is the print format, in groups of four. Forms and files usually take it without spaces: PK36SCBL0000001123456702.

Can Pakistani IBANs contain letters?

Yes. PK IBANs always have uppercase letters at positions 5–8: SCBL in the registry example. Letters or digits are allowed at positions 9–24, although the registry example has only digits there.

Where is the bank code in Pakistani IBANs?

The bank code, at positions 5–8: SCBL in the registry example. By default (realistic mode) the generator uses real bank codes, such as HABB for Habib Bank (HBL).

Will a test IBAN for Pakistan pass validation?

It passes the checks most forms run: country code, length, character format and MOD-97 check digits. In realistic mode, the default, the bank code is real too, so a bank directory check accepts it. An account lookup or a payee name check will not confirm it, because the account number is random.

Can I use a generated Pakistani IBAN to sign up for a service or receive money?

No. It is test data that no bank issued to you. Money sent to it is rejected or, if the number happens to belong to someone, reaches a stranger, and using it for a sign-up, a free trial or a direct debit is misuse. Your own IBAN is in your banking app and on your statements.
